Peggy Jean Epstein
Peggy Jean Epstein
Peggy Jean Epstein was Epstein's first child. Her mother was Meum Lindsell-Stewart, an actress who had modelled for Epstein. Peggy Jean was brought up by Margaret Epstein in the family home in Hyde Park Gate. In the early 1930s shared a room there with Isabel Nicholas, the mother of Jackie, Epstein's fifth child. She attended Dartington School at the same time as Lucien Freud and later moved to America.
